- Develop WordPress template for home page
- Create graphics for calls to action
- Create inside page template(s)
- Create blog template
- Integrate design into WordPress theme
- Install necessary plugins
Website Build
- Integrate client’s social media elements
- Add mailing list sign-up form
- Create navigation structure
- Create blog / news categories and tags
- Add and edit website copy
- Add documents, images, and videos as required
- Add blog authors and biogs
- Edit client copy already input into WordPress
- Create unique meta tags, titles, and descriptions for each web page and post
- Update meta titles, descriptions, and tags across the website
- Prepare visitor sitemap
- Compare content to existing content on old website
- Create and test contact forms and auto responder if required
- Create robots.txt file
- Test website for browser bugs on commonly used browsers
- Transfer website to client domain and update DNS records
- Verify client email usage and update MX records as needed
Once the website has gone live
- Add Google Analytics code
- Prepare sitemap.xml & submit to major search engines
- Set up RSS feed(s) in Feedburner
- Prepare logon account(s) for client
- Provide WordPress training
- Provide access to Google Analytics
